On Wednesday, July 23rd, Isis Cosmetic Medical Centers was featured on the Studio 10 show on WTSP Channel 10 in Tampa. The station is one of the best-performing CBS affiliates in the country. Studio 10 is a local daytime show similar to ‘Live with Regis & Kelly’.

The segment focused on SmartLipo and featured our own David Luginski, VP of Sales.

A lot of people hear about Isis Cosmetic or see our ads and ask themselves, ‘What is SmartLipo?’

Well, we are here to answer that question.

First, according to Cynosure (the creators of SmartLipo), SmartLipo is:

a less invasive technique than conventional liposuction methods for fat reduction and body toning

Simply put, SmartLipo is a gentler, more targeted, less invasive and more efficient method of body scultping. Using a patented, high-powered laser the fat cells are essentially melted and then removed. The laser does not affect any of the surrounding connective tissue or muscle so the recovery time is generally very short. Heck, some people go back to work the same day!

SmartLipo sculpts and tightens many areas of the body in just a matter of minutes. According to DermaNetwork, some of those areas include:

• Chin (double or hanging chin)

A very small cannula, or tube, approximately 1.0 mm to 2.0 mm in diameter containing a laser fiber is inserted into the skin. The laser energy also interacts with other tissues under the skin and results in skin tightening.

Due to the cannula’s small size, Smartlipo is a minimally invasive procedure and can be performed under local anesthesia. The laser causes small blood vessels to coagulate immediately on contact, resulting in less bleeding, swelling and bruising, - and a much quicker recovery time than conventional liposuction. Because general anesthesia is unnecessary, the procedure is very safe with only minimal side effects.
